A source told Channel 9 that Flowers and a female student carried on a relationship for a couple of months. According to the source, the teen is not in Flowers’ classes and is a senior.
After word started getting around about their relationship, students and parents reported it to the school, who launched an investigation.
The school’s principal sent parents an email letting them know leaders will fully cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation as necessary.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials said Flowers was hired as a marketing teacher in August 2015. He is suspended with pay.
