Interracial Couple Assaulted & Left Bloody by White Supremacists After Tennessee Rally

After a White Lives Matter rally concluded this past weekend in Murfreeseboro, TN, protesters stopped by a bar in the neighboring town of Brentwood. It was there, outside of the establishment, that a group of these hate-mongers assaulted an interracial couple, leaving the woman with a bloody face.

The incident reportedly started after the racists confronted the couple and exchanged words. Then, the supremacists allegedly punched the victim, a White woman, in the face. The woman says the altercation began after the hate group told her to leave her Black boyfriend, which she refused.

Facebook user Annelise Werme posted a video of the incident to her page showing the woman’s face covered in blood.

Her caption reads as follows:

I went to Brentwood this evening to escape the rally chaos in Murfreesboro. Guess who showed up at the restaurant I was at. I recognized them as soon as they walked in, and I wondered if anyone else there knew. These guys, maybe 20 of them, dressed in all black, paraded through to an adjoining room, and immediately started harassing a biracial couple there. It broke out into a huge fight with them busting open the face of the white girl who was furious with them for harassing them. I honestly can’t believe this is happening. My heart hurts. I’m shaking and trying not to cry. I try to always stay positive on FB, but I think in light of today’s events, I get a pass…I’m just mortified.

P. S. When I left, the police were still there speaking with the biracial couple. I really wanted to, and wished I would have, gone over to give them a hug. #justloveeachother

A separate video of the incident was also caught on camera, but it’s unclear what happened before the first video, or in between the first and second.

“What do these people stand for and how are they allowed to still assemble and protest?” the victim of the woman of the vicious act of hate told local news station WZTV-TV. “This society and government is truly broken! Our president is talking about players kneeling for a song about freedom, but WE are persecuted every day. We as Americans need to open our eyes and come together to stop this injustice and hate.”

Police are allegedly still looking into the matter and have requested that the public help them in any way they can.
